The Journal's May 1997 issue (56.2) carried an error in Roger B. Jeans's review of Nick Knight's Li Da and Marxist Philosophy in China. On page 478, the third sentence was misedited to add the word “the” before the word “China.”

The same sentence should read: “In this dense work, Knight sets out to remedy the neglect in English-language treatments of Marxism in China of Li Da (1890–1966), a founding father of the Chinese Communist Party and a man he labels one of China's most famous Marxist theoreticians.”
