3 Uchino himself, in his romanization of these titles within Crucible Bodies, spells the Japanese words in English (“melodrama”) but in the titles in Japanese, it should be Merodorama, Pafômansu, etc. Merodorama kara pafōmansu e : 20seiki amerika engeki ron; Tōkyō : Tōkyō Daigaku Shuppankai, 2001. Merodorama no gyakushū : "shiengeki" no 80-nendai. Tōkyō : Keisō Shobō, 1996.
