An experiment is described in which the growth rate and conformation changes of cattle subjected to different levels of nutrition during their yearling winter, and then re-alimentated on grass, were studied.

For this purpose thirty-six Sussex x Shorthorn steers between 38 and 52 weeks of age were randomly distributed on the basis of live weight into three groups, each of twelve animals.
