Deformation Features in Cataclastic Quartz

Abstract

Petrofabric analysis has been carried out on Carboniferous rocks involved in thrust masses of the Benton system in Pembrokeshire. Evidence is contributed, which indicates stages of fracturing and crystallographic control in the deformation of individual quarts grains.
