The focus of reproductive psychiatry is to study the aetiology and treatment of psychiatric conditions associated with reproductive transitions, meaning pregnancy, the postpartum period and the perimenopause. These transitions affect women but also their partners while events during pregnancy and the postpartum period may have long-term consequences for the mental health of the children. The aim of the collection is to promote and highlight the relevant literature on the complex biological and psychosocial issues that pose mental health challenges throughout the reproductive life cycle. This collection includes both invited papers and unsolicited contributions.
