The prevalence of sexual dysfunction in alcoholism is frequent and fluctuates between 3.2% and 64.4%, according different studies. The aim of this research is to study sexual dysfunction frequency in a sample of alcoholic patients who were undergoing treatment for this illness.
The study consists of an a questionnaire on sexual behaviour, with a sample of 80 individuals, 60 men and 20 women.
The authors conclude about the sexual dysfunction in different groups of alcoholic patients, in treatment in an inpatient and follow-up setting.
