Nowadays, the syphilis, a rare and ancient diseae, is present from time to time in the various fields of medicine. In its tertiary phase, the psychiatric signs are atypical, making the diagnosis more difficult.

The authors present the case reports of the patients beeing in the tertiary phase, the ways in which they establish the diagnosis and, also, the global treatment.

it is important to be done a serological diagnosis to all the patients that come and are hospitalized for the first time in psychiatry.

We present the serological test results of the patients who are hospitalized in the CH of Rennes, in the last three years.
