The aim of this study is to find out architectural designing factors which can help senile with memory impairments to recognize and recall place orientation. In this regard, 42 senile with memory impairments were represented a computerized package of vocal and visual 3dimentional maps were designed using “3D max” and involved some architectural factors proposed to play role in place recognition. By using within group comparisons, Results indicated that subjects’ way and place recognition were significantly improved when environmental design included some architectural factors such as spatial design, variety of colors, materials and lightening. Results may be applicable for designing sanatoriums, buildings and sites for older people especially with memory impairments. Results are discussed completely in the main article.
