Abstract

Studies of the transparency of the atmosphere and weatherconditions clearly reveal that the site of the Dome C couldbecome in the next decades one of the best terrestrial sites forastronomy, from millimeter to optical wavelengths. In thisarticle, we review the potentiality of the site for studiesdedicated to planetology.
