* While still hoping to publish, in a near-future issue, a general report on the Second Congress of the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War, which took place during 3–6 April 1982 in Cambridge, England, we have received from Professor Arthur H. Westing, who was Chairman of its Working Group 4, on ‘Unquantified Effects on The Biosphere’, this Summary of their conclusions which we feel should be published—inter alia with reference also to our stressing, with Professor Westing's eminent help, of the effects of nuclear warfare in our last Winter's issue.—Ed.
