The following corrections should be noted for the article, “Tamiris and the Federal Dance Theatre 1936–1939: Socially Relevant Dance Amidst the Policies and Politics of the New Deal Era,” published in the Fall 1997 issue of DRJ:
Page 24, under “Early Concert Years”: Tamiris was in the Metropolitan Opera Ballet possibly for four seasons, from 1917–18 through the 1920–21 season. The company with which Tamiris toured South America was the Bracale Opera Company. Tamiris's early Duncan teacher in New York was Gertrude Druck.
Page 25, under “A Commitment to Cooperative Action”: The theatre should be Maxine Elliott's Theatre.
Page 45, note 12 should read: “Angna Enters.”
I am grateful to Barbara Palfy for drawing these corrections and additions to my attention.
