Abstract

Imogolite structures in allophanic clays can be recognized and semi-quantitatively estimated by an absorption band at 348 cm−1. Allowance can be made for interference by aluminous dioctahedral layer silicates present in small amounts.

Il est possible de reconnaïtre les structures imogolites dans les argiles allophaniques et de les estimer semi-quantitativement par une bande d'absorption à 348 cm. Une tolérance peut être envisagée pour l'interérence par des silicates à strate dioctaédrique alumineuse présente en petites quantités.
