Timoleon, chap. 35) start from Cos rather than from Ceos ? is read by Sintenis and also by Hoden, but the chances of confusion between κω and κ are very great. Timoleon's expedition was altogether a Dorian venture with which theIonic Ceos would not probably be connected, even if it had been a likely place at which toassemble the former inhabitants who had fled to the East.
