A Redescription and Revision of the Genus Balsameda Thomson (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae)1

Abstract

The genus Balsameda Thomson is elevated from synonymy and redescribed on the basis of the type species, Cotinis pulverulenta Burmeister. One additional species, Cotinis adspersa Sharp, is referred to the genus. Both species are described and the male and female genitalia are illustrated.
