During the years 1875, 1876 and 1877, Mr. F.B. Caulfield published in the Canadian Entomologist lists of the Lepidoptera occuring at Montreal and vicinity, as far as the end of the Bombycidæ. Since that period the following species have been taken here, and are now added so as to make the list as complete as possible to date. Chateauguay is on the south shore of the St. Lawarence, directly opposite the upper part of the Island of Montreal, and only a few miles distant.
