The number of described species of this Arctian genus is increasing, and from my own collections in New York, I do not believe that our Eastern forms are at all well known. Among the most interesting recent discoveries in in Arizona is E. zonalis, Grote, a form in which the abdomen is banded with crimson and black and unlike the other species in this respect.
