Larvae of Pine Needle Miners in Ontario1

Abstract

This paper presents a key to the larvae of six species of lepidopterous needle miners on pine in Ontario, namely, gelechiids Recurvaria canusella Free., R. coniferella Kft., R. resinosae (Free.) (n.comb.), and Exoteleia pinifoliella Cham.; and yponomeutids Ocnerostoma strobivorum Free., and Ocnerostoma sp. Complementary information is given on distribution, hosts, biology, and parasites of each species.
