CNEPHASIA STEPHENSIANA, A SPECIES NEWLY RECORDED FROM CANADA AND COMPARED WITH THE PREVIOUSLY RECORDED C. INTERJECTANA (LEPIDOPTERA: TORTRICIDAE)

Abstract

A Palearctic species, Cnephasia stephensiana (Doubleday), was first collected in Nova Scotia in 1954 and has since been found in Prince Edward Island, Quebec, and near Ottawa, Ontario. C. stephensiana is compared with the introduced C. interjectana (Haworth) which was found first in Newfoundland in 1915.

Une espèce paléartique, Cnephasia stephensiana (Doubleday), a été recueillie à l'origine en Nouvelle-Ecosse, en 1954, et a été trouvée depuis à l'Ile-du-Prince-Edouard, au Québec et en Ontario, près d'Ottawa. Dans le présent article, on compare C. stephensiana à l'espèce introduite C. interjectana (Haworth) découverte pour la première fois à Terre-Neuve en 1915.
