These notes, in a contemporary clerkly hand, are nothing more than an abstract of a portion of Mary's letter to Babington of July 17, 1586. Although there is no direct evidence to connect them with Hatten, it may be presumed that they also formed part of his collection of materials for his speech on November 3rd.
