References

1 This is the only document in the Stonor Papers of later date than 1483. There are, however, at the Record Office various Accounts and Rentals relating to the Stonor estates during the time that they were in the possession of Sir Adrian Fortescue, who married Sir William Stonor's daughter. These latter probably found their way to the Public Records independently, and it is possible that the Watlington Rental of 1492 belongs to this latter series.
