Extract

While on a recent visit to Victoria and South Australia, I made an attempt to collect long series of Calliphoras belonging to the subgenera Neopollenia and Proekon; a special visit was made for this purpose to Seaford and to Western Port, Victoria, the type localities of C. hilli, Patton, and C. rufipes, Macquart, respectively. The collections made represent at least seven species of Neopollenia and two of Proekon.
