Exactly forty years after the pioneer bibliographical enterprise of Allison and Rogers, later extended by Thomas Clancy, three Dutch academics and an English Benedictine historian have continued the work by listing details and locations of vernacular Catholic publications, now no longer clandestine, between 1701 and 1800.
