A note on the grazing behaviour of young bulls and steers

Abstract

The grazing behaviour of bulls and steers was examined by observation and the use of vibra-recorders. Twenty-four-h grazing times were similar for both bulls and steers but grazing patterns differed, with bulls being more sensitive to environmental change and grazing more intermittently than steers.
