Abstract
Charles Di Peso (1920-1982) was an active field archaeologist and museum director whose provocative interpretations of prehistory and ethnohistory influenced several generations of southwestern scholars. His intellectual breadth transcended the conventional structures of academia, and his original ideas remain at the forefront of American archaeology.

Charles Di Peso (1920-1982) fue un activo arqueólogo de campo y director de museo, cuyas provocativas interpretaciones de la prehistoria y etnohistoria influenciaron a muchas generaciones de investigadores en el suroeste norteamericano.
