Comment on Estimating Tillage Effects on Artifact Distributions

Abstract

The analysis of the results of Odell and Cowan's experiments on tillage-induced artifact movement is flawed. Their use of cumulative averages is defective and does not support the conclusions they have drawn. Their grouping of data for the analysis of the effect of artifact size on displacement is incorrect.
