The AJS Review would like to thank Stanley Mirvis (PhD, CUNY Graduate Center, History) for his years of dedicated service as the managing editor of the AJS Review. Beginning with volume 33, issue 1 and ending with volume 38, issue 2, Stanley managed and monitored the journal's submission, review, editing, and production processes with skill, intelligence, and a high degree of professionalism. We wish him well in his continuing scholarly pursuits.
We would also like to welcome Aviva Arad (MA, Yale University, Judaic Studies) as the new managing editor of the AJS Review. Aviva has served as copy editor for the journal since 2013. Like Stanley Mirvis, Aviva possesses a deep knowledge of Hebrew and Jewish studies. Her academic training combined with her diligence and attention to detail have ensured a smooth transition to the position of Managing Editor. The current volume is the first to be produced under Aviva's management and we congratulate her on this auspicious beginning.
