Eisdem vero die et loco, dictus reverendissimus pater in ecclesia cathedrali Sancti Pauli praedicta missam de Sancto Spiritu solemniter celebravit, assistentibus tune sibi venerabilibus patribus suffraganeis suis Eliensi, Norwicensi, et Cicestrensi episcopis; qua finita, dictus reverendissimus pater cum eisdem confratribus suis ac aliis praelatis et clero provinciae suae qui tune congregati fuerant ibidem ad capellam Beatae Mariae Virginis in eadem ecclesia Sancti Pauli accessit, coram quibus ibidem honorabilis vir Magister Willelmus Holmache sacrae theologiae professor solemniter proposuit Verbum Dei sumpto sibi pro themate ‘Nolite terreri' quo completo statim lectum fuit certificatorium venerabilis viri Magistri Reginaldi Kentwood decani dictae ecclesiae Sancti Pauli ac reverendi in Christo patris Domini Roberti Londoniensis episcopi tune in remotis agentis vicarii in spiritualibus generalis, sub eo qui sequitur tenore verborum:

Reverendissimo in Christo patri et domino Domino Henrico, permissione divina Cantuariensi archiepiscopo, totius Angliae primati et apostolicae sedis legato, Robertus, permissione divina Londoniensis episcopus, reverentias et honores tanto patri debitas. Literas vestras reverendissimas vicesimo septimo die mensis Augusti anno Domini infrascripto [27 August 1434] recepimus in haec verba:

Henricus, permissione divina Cantuariensis archiepiscopus, totius Angliae primas et apostolicae sedis legatus permissione divina Cantuariensis etc. venerabili fratri nostro Domino Roberto, Dei gratia Londoniensi episcopo, salutem et fraternae dilectionis continuum incrementum. Exigit urgentium rerum et causarum ingens necessitas, quae Anglicanae Ecclesiae statum in pluribus heu prothdolor suis causantibus emulis periclitantem concernunt ut ad ipsius reparationem celerem et optatam vobiscum at cum ceteris confratribus coepiscopis et suffraganeis nostris celeriter concilium ineamus. Hanc namque frater praecarissime quae olim prae ceteris almae matris universalis ecclesiae filiabus per orbem ubique fidelium personis variis spirituali coniugio copulatis singularis decoris pulchritudine at exnunc potestatis et honoris libertatum et privilegiorum amplitudine praeclaruit, adeo ut sub eius iugo principes, duces, immo et reges incliti sua colla humili famulatus obsequio subiecerant, verso tramite in gravis calamitatis miseriam de verisimili mere timendum est nisi patres eiusdem conscripti qui eius una nobiscum ope vicaria regimini praesunt omnis sui nisus efficacia manus suarum solicitudinum ferventius citiusque apponant.
