Summary

This chapter reviews conventions for measuring, describing, and classifying percussors/hammerstones (EAST Typology Group X) and groundstone artifacts (Group XI). The latter include abraded-edge tools, perforated artifacts, abrading tools, pulverizing tools, and stone vessels. The chapter also answers common questions about percussors and groundstone tools.
