Emehlwen’ akho ngifund’ usizi.

Umqondo wakho kawusekho lapha,

Kukude ezihlangwini zawoShaka
Phansi ezizibeni zikaDukuza,
Lapho amanzi ezonzobele khona
Ngamakhand’ amadoda nemizi yawo:
Nawo asengwevu njengawe phansi.

Ukhuluma nezingengelezi zikaZulu.
Chathazela min’ engizobhala phansi
Okuzwayo nokukhulunywayo nokubonwayo
