In Part 1 I will be giving you some idea of the work that needs to happen before what is traditionally thought of as project management kicks in. We will look at how you define your vision for the exhibition and will consider how you will manage the project once it gets going. It's possible that you will be brought in as a PM after this stage has been completed; but it is worth knowing what will or should have happened already so that you can avoid asking the project team to repeat work they may have done already and so that you can help the museum to test some of the assumptions it may have made.
