Summary
In the everyday places of home, school, and neighborhood, concerns about the future are being played out in extraordinary ways – venal and beautiful. If it is here that mounting anxieties around finding a place in an increasingly global labor force are managed and negotiated, and where ontological insecurity is felt in the bones, it is also where the chance to make a livable common future resides.
