Summary

At the beginning of this journey down the rabbit hole of progress, I was captivated with the thought of why medical science is where it is. Much like looking up into the sky and thinking about the limitless scale of the universe can seem overwhelming, the number of potential trajectories of medical research is almost unfathomable. With so many scientific actors interacting with each other in so many ways, the process at first glance seems rather random – but in the midst of this chaos there is order.
