Summary
Folios 256r–258r contain documents concerning property in Bread Street.
The red-ink heading on f. 256r is “Bredstrete The Roos”, on f. 256v “The Rose”, on f. 257r and 257v “Bredstrete”, and on f. 258r “the Rose & Countur”. The scribe is the same as for the previous section and the next. The top line of f. 256r has been given ornamented ascenders as well as this scribe's usual use of large spaced-out letters at the beginning of each document. None of the initials have been done but, as usual, a space two lines deep is left and a small faint letter is usually visible, the guide to the future rubricator.
