Summary
And now something much nicer to tell you about. At long last a letter from Fritz, which came on Saturday. It’s dated 7 January and tells about his moving into the same place as Peter two days earlier, and how pleased he is about it. They’re sharing a room in the home of a farming family who feed the pair of them as well. They sound like pleasant, well-bred people who welcome their house guests at their table for every meal. Peter is very happy with his job, and is now in charge of an up-to-the-minute dairy shed with ninety cattle and fifty calves, and two cowhands working alongside him.
