John Trevisa's translation of Bartholomaeus Anglicus's De Proprietatibus Rerum; paraphrased version. The title is given on f. 1 (set out by a s. xvi hand as a title-page) ‘liber bartholomei angeli de proprietatibus rerum’. IPMEP 785; Wells Rev. 10:3750–2 [2]. The text is preceded on f. 10 by the translator's verse prologue (24 lines; Wells Rev. 10: 3752 [3]), and on ff. 2–9 by a table of contents.
Other texts: Wells Rev. lists 15 MSS and 3 early printed editions.
s. xv in. LALME I:68 localizes Hand B (ff. 10v–69v) to Huntingdonshire, LP 461, and noting that the language is almost identical with that of Durham Cathedral Library A.iv.22, comments that though the scripts are different the texts may be by the same hand.
