Summary
Listed below are Commission decisions adopted pursuant to Article 11 (Commission's right to ask information) and Articles 15–16 (Commission's right to impose fines) of Council Regulation No. 17: First Regulation Implementing Articles 85 and 86 of the Treaty [1962] OJ 13/204, English special edition OJ [1959–62] 87.
Since May 2004, Regulation No. 17 has been substituted by Council Regulation No. 1/2003 on the implementation of the rules on competition laid down in Articles 81 and 82 of the Treaty [2003] OJ L 1/1. The new Regulation's articles corresponding to Articles 11, 15, and 16 mentioned above are now Articles 18 (request of information), 23, and 24 (imposition of fines).
The new articles significantly modified the content of the previous ones. The differences between the two Regulations are nonetheless beyond the scope of this book. For what is relevant here, one can consider the two sets of articles as the legal basis underlying the adoption of the decisions mentioned in this annex.
