Summary
Large technology corporations (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Google) have powerful online presences (e.g., search engines, social networks) and they have become significant parts of the daily lives of billions of people around the world. While there is an increasing number of studies focusing on the influence of social media platforms and the potential of these platforms for research in particular, less attention has been paid to ethical considerations.
