Summary
While Norman Frost was conductor of the Musical Society, three orchestral concerts were given in the 1947/48 season. Two of these were conducted by Norman Frost and the third, in February 1947, was conducted by Alec Sherman. Clarence Raybould succeeded Norman Frost as conductor in 1947, and he conducted all the Society’s concerts until 1952 and all the orchestral concerts until 1958. After this, the Musical Society gave up promoting orchestral concerts.
