A group $G=AB$ is the weakly mutually permutable product of the subgroups A and B, if A permutes with every subgroup of B containing $A \cap B$ and B permutes with every subgroup of A containing $A \cap B$. Weakly mutually permutable products were introduced by the first, second and fourth authors [‘Generalised mutually permutable products and saturated formations’, J. Algebra 595 (2022), 434–443] who showed that if $G'$ is nilpotent, A permutes with every Sylow subgroup of B and B permutes with every Sylow subgroup of A, then $G^{\mathfrak {F}}=A^{\mathfrak {F}}B^{\mathfrak {F}} $, where $ \mathfrak {F} $ is a saturated formation containing $ \mathfrak {U} $, the class of supersoluble groups. In this article we prove results on weakly mutually permutable products concerning $ \mathfrak {F} $-residuals, $ \mathfrak {F} $-projectors and $\mathfrak {F}$-normalisers. As an application of some of our arguments, we unify some results on weakly mutually $sn$-products.

In this paper we introduce the two possible formulations of the -functional calculus that are based on the Fueter–Sce mapping theorem in integral form and we introduce the pseudo--resolvent equation. In the case of dimension 3 we prove the -resolvent equation and we study the analogue of the Riesz projectors associated with this calculus. The case of dimension 3 is also useful to study the quaternionic version of the -functional calculus.

Let 𝔉 be a saturated formation of soluble Leibniz algebras. Let K be an 𝔉-projector and A/B a chief factor of the soluble Leibniz algebra L. It is well known that if A/B is 𝔉-central, then K covers A/B. I prove the converse: if K covers A/B, then A/B is 𝔉-central.

We present the explicit formulas for the projectors on the generalized eigenspaces associated with some eigenvalues for linear neutral functional differential equations $\left( \text{NFDE} \right)$ in ${{L}^{p}}$ spaces by using integrated semigroup theory. The analysis is based on the main result established elsewhere by the authors and results by Magal and Ruan on non-densely defined Cauchy problem. We formulate the $\text{NFDE}$ as a non-densely defined Cauchy problem and obtain some spectral properties from which we then derive explicit formulas for the projectors on the generalized eigenspaces associated with some eigenvalues. Such explicit formulas are important in studying bifurcations in some semi-linear problems.
