Orophryxus shiinoi gen.nov., sp.nov., an unusual phryxid (Crustacea, Isopoda, Bopyridae) parasitic upon a pontoniid shrimp from Zanzibar

A new species of phryxid (Isopoda, Bopyridae) found attached in the pterygostome region of a pontoniid shrimp, Periclimenes grandis (Stimpson), is described. The only specimen, found at Mazizini, Zanzibar, has been placed in a new genus, which is defined here. The parasite, Orophryxus shiinoi gen.nov., sp.nov., is the only bopyrid which has been found attached in the pterygostomial region.
