Nickel and iron ultraflne powders have been produced by the method of hydrogen reduction of the low-water hydroxides obtained by geterogeneous interaction between solid salt and alkaline solution. Suggested method allows to obtain ultrafine powders with narrow particle size distribution and low impurity contents. Bulk samples based on nickel and iron ultrafine powders were produced by hot Isostatic pressing and high-temperature gas extrusion methods.
