Photographs taken during a clear, moonless night from the walkway of the dome of the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope on Mauna Kea show light trespass from street lighting in Hilo and in Waimea and the sky glow from the growing area around Kona. More full cut-off fixtures would help to prevent deterioration of the quality of the Mauna Kea site.
