2 According to the indictment, Abdel Basset “was utilized by the JSO [Jamahirya Security Organization, the Libyan intelligence service through which Libya conducts acts of terrorism] in various positions including as Chief of the Airline Security Section, Operations Division, and as such was familiar with international airline security procedures.” Lamen Fhimah also “was utilized by the JSO in various cover positions, including at various times as the Station Manager and representative for Libyan Arab Airlines at Luga Airport, Malta.”
