Introduction Principles of Donabedian and Validation of the Honos and Oq-45 in the Netherlands

Abstract

This workshop is about the study on the first part of the entire process of validating and implementing of Outcome Measures in routine clinical practice in an psychiatric outpatient clinic for anxiety and mood disorders and based on the three quality domains defined by Donabedian (1988): structure, process and outcomes. This presentation is about the validity of two Outcome Monitoring measures in combination the Health of the Nation Outcome Scales (HoNOS; Wing et al., 1996) and Outcome Questionnaire (OQ; Lambert et al., 2001). The question is are these measurement instruments capable of demonstrating insight into the treatment process? (Buwalda, PhD thesis (2013).
