Does fish oil help asthma?
Published online by Cambridge University Press: 11 September 2013
In a nutshell
The anti-inflammatory effects of ω:3 LCPUFA have possible applications in asthma, e.g. to treat exercise-induced wheezing. In addition, this might be useful as prevention when given in early childhood or pregnancy.
Some observational studies and clinical trials support these ideas, but overall the evidence is not by any means conclusive.
