Summary
Folios 108r–111r contain deeds relating to the Griffin in Cheap. The red-ink heading at the top of f. 108r reads “Ista tenementa dedit nobis Johannes Fraunceys in sustentacionem pauperum” and the red-ink heading “Gryffyn in Chepe” is written above the red-ink folio number. Thereafter the verso pages have the heading “Gryffon” (f. 108v) or “Gryffyn” (ff. 109v and 110v) and the recto pages “in Chepe”, but ff. 111v and 112r have no headings, except the folio number on f. 112r. One notes in addition that the name “John Fraunces” has been added three times in red ink, in the margins of ff. 108v, 109v, and 110r, only the last of these bearing a relation to the text alongside.
