Dicto vicesimo quarto die mensis Novembris, missa de Sancto Spiritu ad summum altare ipsius cathedralis ecclesiae more solito solemniter celebrata, et deinde facta collatione in capella Beatae Mariae eiusdem ecclesiae coram eodem reverendissimo patre et suis suffraganeis ac aliis praelatis et clero dictae suae Cantuariensis provinciae tune ibidem praesentibus, et deinceps certificatorio venerabilis patris Domini Henrici, Dei gratia Lincolniensis episcopi de et super convocatione huiusmodi, cuius tenor sequitur in haec verba:

Reverendissimo in Christo patri ac domino Domino Thomae, Dei gratia Cantuariensi archiepiscopo, totius Angliae primati et apostolicae sedis legato, Henricus, permissione divina Lincolniensis episcopus oboedientiamve reverentiam et honorem tanto patri debitos, cum omnimoda subiectione tarn debita quam devota, mandatum vestrum reverendissimum nobis vicesimo tertio die mensis Octobris ultimo iam praeterito [23 October 1404] cum ea qua decuit reverentia recepimus in haec verba:

Thomas, permissione divina Cantuariensis archiepiscopus, totius Angliae primas et apostolicae sedis legatus venerabili fratri nostro Henrico, Dei gratia Lincolniensi episcopo, qui tanquam sacrosanctae nostrae Cantuariensis ecclesiae cancellarius, vacantibus Londoniensi et Wintoniensi ecclesiis, quae ipsius ecclesiae nostrae Cantuariensis decanatus et subdecanatus decorantur numero et honore, mandata nostra et ipsius ecclesiae ex debito vestri officii recipere et exequi tenemini cum effectu, salutem et fraternam in Domino caritatem. Ex assumpta sollicitudine pastoralis officii multotiens cogimur inviti, pro varietate temporum et urgentibus ecclesiae et regni negotiis cum praelatis et clero nostrae provinciae communem habere tractatum, instans cum rei publicae magna necessitas eorundemque ecclesiae et regni Angliae sperata utilitas quas super agendis et tractandis in eodem ad praesens versari credimus, precum etiam domini nostri regis ac procerum et nobilium dicti regni Angliae excitatorum et instantia, [la]mentabiliter nos impellunt praelatos et clerum nostrae provinciae antedictae in proximum convocare.
