Today the eighteenth day of January 1739 [sic] Brabant style and the seventh day of the said month English style there appeared before me, Jacques Antoine du Rij, notary admitted by the Sovereign Council of His Imperial and Sovereign and Catholic Majesty qualified in Brabant and resident at Louvain, the witnesses named below comprising Gilbert Haydocke, gentleman, and John Melling, gentleman, English representative, who jointly as the two witnesses named below, have declared, attested and affirmed under oath before me the said notary that they well know the Hon.
