Summary
Encounters with religious difference are everywhere, by accident and by design. Chapter 5 discusses contexts of meeting in which encounter tends to be up close and personal, including family, congregations, college campuses, and the workplace. As diversity has grown in these spaces that were previously much more homogenous, it presents particular challenges as well as manifold opportunities for interreligious engagement—even without organized programs.
