Mwanzo wa jambo hili watokana na maumbile. Siku ina mchana na usiku. Mchana ni wa kufanya neno na usiku ni wa kuacha kufanya neno. Jambo zuri lilioje!
Katika dunia hii hapana neno bora kama kuacha kufanya neno. Wakati huo huo neno hili ni gumu. Yatupasa kula, yatupasa kunywa, na kufanya mambo mengi mengine. Hivi si kufanya neno? Lakini hili ni sawa na kuacha kufanya neno na hivyo twaliita kuacha kufanya neno.
Dini zimekubali kanuni hii bora ya kuacha kufanya neno. Dini ya Kikristo imeweka Jumapili kuwa siku takatifu—siku ya kuacha kufanya neno. Kwa Waislamu Ijumaa ni siku ya kuacha kufanya neno; na katika Ramadhani hawali kabisa mchana kutwa. Hivyo twaonyeshwa kwamba tungetumia robo ya mwisho ya maisha yetu katika kuacha kufanya neno.
Kuacha kufanya neno hata kidogo ni kazi ngumu. Lakini tumesikia mawalii wengi waliojinyima raha na anasa makusudi wasifanye neno. Hawakula, hawakunywa, hawaku nena, hawakulala na kadha wa kadha. Kwa kweli walijisahau wakati walipokuwa hawafanyi neno, wakawa karibu na Mungu. Hivyo wale watakao kuwa karibu na Mungu wasifanye neno.
Yasemekana kwamba twacheza na malaika katika utoto wetu. Kwa nini? Kwa sababu watoto hawafanyi neno na kwa hiyo hufurahia pepo. Watoto waendao kando ya mto au bahari wakatazama kimya shani ya ulimwengu hufurahi sana.
Katika ulimwengu wetu wa kushughulika, twaona watu wadhanio kwamba wafanya mambo mengi, lakini kweli ikitakikana hawafanyi neno. Baadhi ya madiwani wetu wahudhuria katika halmashauri wakashughulika kuacha kufanya neno. Washauri wengi waenda barazani wakaacha kufanya neno. Wengine katika sisi twafanya neno lililo ovu kabisa kuliko kuacha kufanya neno.
